Chris Bayly Architects was asked by the client to demonstrate to their neighbour the additional shading to fenestration that would be created by the addition of a pitched roof to an existing garage to the front of the house (the additional pitched roof is indicated purple).

Using Ordinance Survey information and measurement survey information a fully scaled 3D volumetric model was produced in order to demonstrate the negligible impact that the proposals would have throughout different times of the day and at different times of the year. 

Although the 3D model is simple, it does clearly demonstrate the small impact that the proposals would have to the neighbouring property due to the orientation and scale of the proposals.
